Fox Chapel Crew, a scholastic club team in Pittsburgh , PA is seeking qualified coaches for the fall of 2009. We are a competitive men’s and women’s team and row on the Allegheny river out of the Three Rivers Rowing Association boathouse. We concentrate on sweep rowing, with some sculling available.
Fox Chapel Crew is in the middle of our fourteenth season, and has sent crews to the US Junior Nationals for the past five years. Because of employment and for school-related reasons, we will be experiencing vacancies in our coaching staff at the end of the spring season. We expect a vacancy in our Woman’s Head Coach position, and likely will have vacancy on the men’s side as well.
Applicants should have a rowing background, and previous coaching experience will be advantageous. A Head Coach provides backup and cares for most paperwork and equipment-related concerns.
Salary is based on experience, and is paid on a per-practice session basis. References are requested,
