End-of year Charitable Donation
Please remember that Fox Chapel Crew is a not-for profit entity and is funded entirely by donations, fund-raising activities, and member fees.
As the end of the year approaches, many people look for sources of income tax relief in the form of donations to not-for-profit entities.
Fox Chapel Crew benefits many students from the Fox Chapel Area School District, providing a sport which allows participation at the local, regional, and national levels. Several of our graduates have been the beneficiaries of college scholarships directly related to rowing. We also provide leadership responsibilities for many participants who act as Captains of our men and women’s teams and as members of our Board.
Fox Chapel Crew also serves others through our annual Biathlon to aid cancer patients and the families of those with cancer.
Please consider a donation to our cause. A donation can be made specifically to aid one of our following needs:
1. Travel costs (approximately $35,000 annually)
2. Race entry fees (approximately $3,000 annually)
3. Equipment purchase/replacement (approx. $15,000 - $30,000)
4. Equipment storage fees (approximately $10,000 annually)
5. Scholarships for crew members (we give about $5,500 per year)
6. Unspecified: for our general needs
In addition, donations can be given for the following specific items:
1. To name an oar with the name of your choice: $250
2. To name a seat in one of our shells (name of your choice): $350
