Fox Chapel Crew Summer Rowing Camps
The coaches of the Fox Chapel Crew will hold one learn-to-row camp at the Millvale Boathouse and the following Saturday morning, hopefully for a scrimmage on Saturday. For those attending the camp, it may be possible to schedule second camp later in the summer.
The camp is open to students entering the following grades in September 2009:
7, 8, 9, 10
Enrollment is limited. Preference will be given to those entering grades 8 and 9
The purpose of the camps: to provide an introduction to sweep rowing, using indoor rowing machines and tanks, and on-water experience in Fox Chapel Crew’s eight-oared shells
Dates and times:
Mon-Fri June 22-26 5:00-7:00 PM
Saturday June 27 8-10:00 AM
Location: the Millvale Boathouse of Three Rivers Rowing Association
90 Riverfront Drive, Millvale, PA

Prerequisites/Fee:
2. Rowers must complete a swim test (see link) at a location of their choice. This test may be given by any Certified lifeguard at any pool. We will try to organize a date and a lifeguard at the school or other pool for convenience if people are interested. If you have previously done a swim test for us and we have the form, it does not need to be repeated
3. Rowers must complete a US Rowing waiver (see link)
4. Fee: $100 per rower.
