You do not need to have any prior rowing experience to participate in some of our camps!

We will be offering an exciting new look to our summer camps this year at Aspinwall Riverfront Park.


Recreational sculling (open row) and Learn to scull camp 

Who: for those new to sculling or relatively new who want to try out doubles and singles when the water is warm. Also for experienced rowers who simply want more water time in a more relaxed atmosphere or a chance to stay in shape for Competitive Sculling Camp.

When: June 15-18, 22-25 (Mondays thru Thursdays)

Time: 6:00-8:15 AM

Cost: $70 per week due 5/15/20 (check payable to Fox Chapel Crew)

Learn to Row: basics for brand new rowers

Who: for 7-12 grade students new to rowing. Learn the basics of rowing and boat handling on ergometers and in sweep or sculling boats. A good introduction to Basic Experienced Camp

When: June 15-18

Time: 9:00-11:00 AM

Cost: $60 Due 5/15/20

Basic Experienced Summer Camp

Who: for middle schoolers who have rowed at previous Fox Chapel summer camps or fall crew and who would like to gain more experience and scrimmage against your teammates. Also great for anyone who attended Learn to Row (above) and would like to advance his or her skills.

When: June 22-25, July 6-9, July 13-16 ( do one or two or 3 weeks)

Time: 9:00-11:00 AM

Cost: $ 70 per week, reduced to $55 per week if you are chosen as a Middle School Assistant

Competitive Sculling Camp

Who: Open to any experienced scholastic rower from any school district (at least 1 season of sculling, or who has attended a learn to scull camp this summer prior to our Competitive camp)

What: A chance for you to continue to compete, or to begin competing as a sculler

Where: Aspinwall Riverfront Park and Dillon State Park in Zanesville 

When: July 6th-August 3rd

Practice times: Mondays thru Thursdays and Saturday 6:00-8:15 AM

Race: travel Friday, July 31 to Zanesville, race and return 8/1. Parent chaperones and drivers will be needed.

Cost: $100 per week plus travel and race entry fees.

Registration is limited and must be submitted by May 15 with a non-refundable deposit of $100.

Athletes will train from July 6th through July 30th. Athletes must be present at every practice from July 20th-30th to be eligible to compete at the Midwest Summer Sprints at Dillon State Park, Nashua, OH on Saturday, September 1.
